Travelling on board The Black Dragon, the galley of the famous Ottoman admiral Turgut Reis, on a special mission to the Castle of Heraklion in Crete, Abdülcanbaz and Tarzan are accompanied by Evliyah Chelebi, who tells them the legend of the Black Dragon and the real reason of the journey. The Ottoman Fleet wages war against Crete in response to the seizure of an Ottoman galley and its spoils. Turgut Reis besieges the castle. Abdülcanbaz fights with The Knights of St. John and meets a young local woman, Elefteria.
